Chicken Curry

Chicken curry is very popular recipe around the world, but this recipe was given to me by my colleague Sinu from India, a combination of diferent spices to make a curry paste.



Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken, cut into small potion
  • 2 tbsp. Oil
  • 2 gloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 inches ginger, cut into strip
  • 2 medium tomatoes , chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp. TURMERIC powder
  • 2 tsp. Chilli powder
  • 4 tsp. CORIANDER powder
  • 3 tsp. GARAM MASALA powder
  • 1/2 tsp. BLACK PEPPER powder
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 handful coriander leaves, chopped (optional )




Directions

  1. Sauté garlic , onion  and ginger in hot oil
  2. Add TURMERIC powder , Chilli powder , CORIANDER powder,  GARAM MASALA powder,  BLACK PEPPER powder.
  3. Cook until the color change approx. 1-2 minutes
  4. Add 2 medium chopped Tomatoes.  Cook until become paste.
  5. Add chicken. Mix well until all cut chicken are coated.
  6. Add cups water and 1/2 tsp. Salt.
  7. Bring to boil and simmer until chicken is tender and oil starting to come out from the chicken.
  8. Then sprinkle with handful coriander leaves
  9. Serve with chapatti or rice
