Pork barbecue 

Filipino style Pork Barbecue is very popular food for outing or beach party , there are different ways of making pork barbecue, there are spicy, sweet and sour etc .And in other country they mix with different kind of herbs like rosemary. Lutong pang pamilya Filipino style pork barbecue  is made simple all ingredients can be found in normal kitchen foods  like garlic, soy sauce .


  • 1 kg. Pork
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 2 gloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup of calamansi juice or lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of 7up or sprite
  •  1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cooking oil
  • Bamboo skewers


  1. Cut pork meat into thin and long slices.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine soy sauce, garlic,onions, calamansi juice, ground pepper, sugar,salt, peanut butter and the 7up or sprite.
  3. Add in the strips of pork and mix well.
  4. Marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight in the fridge.
  5. Prepare the bamboo skewers by soaking in water to reduce burning during barbeque.
  6. When it ready skewer the pork.
  7. Get the marinade put in pan and boil it for 3 minute or until haft dry, then transfer in a bowl and add oil and ketchup. This makes a good shiny finish as we grill the barbeque.
  8. Grill the pork on skewers over live charcoals until each barbeque is cooked brushed it with prepared oil and ketchup while turning every few minutes on each side.
